STS Twin Screw Pump

The STS is a twin screw pump with a hygienic design that is well-suited for use in the food, dairy, beverage, and cosmetic industries. Its axial flow ensures a uniform product flow without changes in volume or physical properties, making it ideal for shear-sensitive fluids. With its high suction lift capability and low NPSH values, it can pump liquids with both high and low viscosity, making it useful as a CIP-supply pump. The twin screw pump operates as a positive displacement pump that transfers a set volume of product according to the speed and pitch of the screws. As the screws turn, they form closed chambers that move in an axial direction, creating a vacuum at the inlet and pressure at the outlet. This double-chamber technique results in nearly pulsation-free operation with both high and low viscosity products.
